The membership lapsed and the Civic is dead on a Corona curb. Searching roadside assistance without AAA in NYC from that block, a Midtown ramp, or a Tottenville driveway is the right move. This is pay per call. It is not a club plan.

Driver on a Queens curb at night calling for roadside help beside a stalled sedan

No card, no enrollment wait, one quoted job

Quick Tow NYC is a referral service. We match drivers with independent local operators. We do not own trucks. We do not perform the work. We do not sell a membership. We do not have a confirmed club dispatch relationship.

If you already have AAA, call them first and ask whether they will cover this job, how many miles remain, and what the wait looks like. We do not speak for AAA. We cannot confirm what a non-member pays them, or whether they will roll at all. If you still need a local operator after that call, stay here.

You do not need a club card to use this line. You call. You hear a greeting and a recording notice. New York is a one-party-consent state for call recording, and this line records after that notice. You name the job. The operator’s price is quoted before dispatch. You pay for that call. We publish no brand figure.

The usual curb list is the same list on roadside assistance: a jump, a flat, a fuel drop, a lockout, and a tow when the curb fix fails. Name the failure. “I need roadside” is not a truck.

This page is the no-membership dispatch. The buying-guide sibling is best roadside assistance in NYC. That piece is how to choose. This piece is the call when you have no card in the wallet.

NYSDOT also runs a HELP program on some state highways. We could not confirm current hours or coverage from a live page fetch. If a HELP truck is already on your stretch, you can wait for it. Ride-hail apps move people. They do not jump a battery or change a tire as a default.

NYC streets still set the truck, card or no card

Commercial vehicles, trucks, and tow trucks are banned on NYC parkways, including the Belt, the FDR, the Henry Hudson, the Cross Island, the Jackie Robinson, and the Grand Central. A truck on those roads is itself a violation. The FDR Drive carries a published 8,000-pound limit north of 23rd Street. A club card does not lift that ban. Say the road so the operator stages from a legal street.

A Corona curb, a Long Island City garage, a Midtown hotel ramp, a Bronx side street off the Deegan, a Staten Island driveway: those are five-borough jobs. Give cross streets, garage name and level, posted height, and what failed. Coverage is Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Nassau, Westchester, and New Jersey are out except as a long-distance destination.

If you are in a live lane, call 911 first. Then call us for the recovery once you are out of traffic. We do not promise an arrival time. The line is answered around the clock.

A friend’s car, a rental at JFK, a company van: memberships often do not follow the driver. Say whose name is on the registration. The operator still verifies the job before they open a door or pour fuel.

What to say so you do not get the wrong truck

Have this ready.

The job. Jump, tire, fuel, lockout, winch, or tow. One of those words.

Make, model, year, and drivetrain. A 2012 Camry and a 2024 Tesla are different loads. An EV still needs the owner’s-manual method. See Tesla and EV towing.

Exact spot. Address or cross streets. Garage name, level, space. Highway, direction, closest exit.

Whether you already called a club, and what they told you.

Whether the car will roll. A shredded tire with no spare is a tow, not a five-minute change. A flooded underpass is a winch.

The quote is stated before anyone rolls. If the job changes on scene, from jump to tow, that is a new quote.

When a curb fix is not the product

Sometimes the pack will not wake the battery. Sometimes there is no spare. Sometimes the keys are lost, not locked in. The honest next step is a tow to a shop you name. Ask for that price before anyone hooks the car. “Take it to your lot” is how storage starts.

City pound fees are public and cited on the city’s own pages. They do not set what an independent operator charges you for a breakdown you called in. An NYPD parking-violation release is $185 under 8,000 lbs and $20 a night. That is a different regime. If the space is already empty, use 311 and the lookup. See was my car towed.

We are not a DCWP-licensed towing operator. The independents we connect you with do the work. That is slower to explain than a slogan, and it is the truth.

When to call us

A stall on a city curb stops being a club-card problem when you have no membership, the wait is too long, or the card does not cover this car. Call us at (929) 356-7857. The line is answered around the clock, calls are recorded after a notice, and an independent local operator gets the job once the quote is stated.
